Thanks for listening! All that being said, I definitely think there is some missing functionality…I really think that maybe Apple’s solution to this is through iCloud. It’s not quite there yet but maybe it will eventually be their version of a file system on mobile. I think the original reason for locking down the OS so tightly is so that the line between a mobile device and a desktop computer wouldn’t become blurred. When the iPhone first came out, other phones on the market were frustrating and awful because they tried to do everything a computer could do, but on a tiny screen in comparison. The iPhone made it clear that it would only do certain tasks and in a certain way as to not become cumbersome. I think that things are very different now though, we now have the App Store with tons and tons of apps, so we really do need a better way to manage files between those apps. Not sure they’ll do a traditional file system, but as long as it will allow people to save to other apps, open the same file from more than one app, etc, I’ll be happy. Out of curiosity, what do you think of the software Samsung adds to the S3 versus a pure Android experience like Google Nexus? Were you impressed with Samsung’s S4 presentation yesterday?
