Add Classic System Icons to the Desktop To get the icons on your desktop, right-click an empty area of your desktop and click Personalize from the menu. That will open the Settings app to the “Personalization” section. From there, click on Themes on the left-hand side. Scroll down on the right section and click the “Desktop icon settings” link under the “Related Settings” section near the bottom. There you go. That brings up the Desktop Icon Settings screen, where you can choose the ones you want to display....

However, Microsoft has hidden them in Windows 10 and 8.1. Here’s how to make them show up again. Libraries are an underutilized and often forgot feature in Windows. Enable Hyper-V on Windows 8.1 Update: Windows 8.1 is nearing its end of support from Microsoft: First, make sure your computer can run Hyper-V. It would help if you had an AMD or Intel 64-bit processor that supports Second Level Address Translation (SLAT). Go into Desktop mode, and use the Windows 8 keyboard shortcut Win Key + R to bring up the Run Line. Then Type: optionalfeatures.exe and click OK....

Microsoft just announced that all Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7 users will be able to upgrade to Windows 8 Pro once released for $39.99 in 131 markets via Windows.com. As an added option, after the download finishes, users can elect to also buy a backup DVD for $15 plus shipping and handling. Additionally, Windows Media Center which we all thought would be an additional cost will be available within Windows 8 Pro as a free option after you upgrade to Windows 8....

For Windows Vista, download and install ISO Recorder version V3. This free utility, developed by Alexander Feinman, is lightweight and easy to use. Once installed, right-click the ISO image you want to burn to disc. Here I’m creating a bootable Puppy Linux CD. Select Copy Image to CD. ISO Recorder launches. Under Source, the path to the image will be entered automatically. Under Recorder click on Properties. I like the disc to pop out when the process is done....

The new game is available on a plethora of devices – iPhone, iPod touch, iPad ( HD full retina display support), Mac and Android devices. New iPad Pro The all-new iPad Pro has a thinner design with a new touch display the company calls “Liquid Retina” and includes support for Apple Pencil and Face ID. Each iPad Pro contains a new A12X Bionic processor and 7-Core GPU and up to 1TB of storage space....

The lawsuit, which was filed in a German court (namely the Düsseldorf Regional Court), and it involves no less than 10 smartphones including the Samsung Galaxy S II and Galaxy S Plus, according Peter Schütz, spokesman at the court, quoted by PC World. Another lawsuit, linked to a September ruling, has also been filed on the tablet front. The September ruling had banned Samsung from selling the Galaxy Tab 10....

iOS 13.2.3 for iPhone and iPadOS 13.2.3 for iPad Apple continues to work out the kinks in iOS 13, which was released back in September. Today’s update fixes odd issues related to the Spotlight system search feature with Mail, Files, and Note apps. Mail is also being updated to resolve a problem in getting new messages. And this update fixes a problem with apps not downloading content in the background. To download and install today’s latest update on your iPhone or iPad, head to Settings > General > Software Update....

HBO Now App And to coincide with that announcement, HBO, in partnership with Apple, announced a standalone streaming app called HBO Now that will be available to Apple customers starting in April – which will be before the premiere of season 5 of Game of Thrones. HBO Now will premier on Apple TV, iPad, and iPhone in April and cost $14.99/month. That means you will get instant access to every episode of every season of all HBO original programs, sports, documentaries, etc....

Update for Apple TV The latest update for Apple TV supports iOS 10 and was officially released earlier this week on Tuesday. To update your box manually, go to Settings > System > Software Updates and select Update Software. Or, turn on Automatic Updates and then you won’t need to remember to do it. The new TV OS includes some interesting new features including support for more third-party apps, “Memories” which is an automated collection of photos based on date and location....

App Eater (Uninstaller) App Eater will make the whole uninstallation process much easier, as you won’t need to go through the tedious process of selecting one by one. Start by installing it from here in the Google Play Store. It’s free. You’ll be shown the screen below, which already includes some useful information.
