You need a minimum of one extra drive connected to your Windows 8 system. Meaning your local (C:) drive and another internal or external drive. But for best results, you’ll want to add at least two extra drives. Two drives lets you utilize Mirroring which copies or “mirrors” data on both drives. Today Microsoft released on Microsoft Download Center Windows 7 Phone Connector for Mac. The software is still BETA however you can get a fully working copy on the site if you want to try it out on your MAC. It’s good to see Microsoft is attempting to not repeat their mistakes with ZUNE and at least the video is short and sweet. What the app does is basically let you sync your Windows 7 Phone including Files, Music and Photos to you MAC in an organized fashion....
Windows Phone 8.1 preview is available for anyone to download. And this week, on the heels of an update last month that improves battery life, another update is available. Windows Phone 8.1 version 8.10.12393.890 You can get this update, and any new updates simply by going to Settings > Phone Update > Check for Updates. The size of this update is about 21 MB. At the time I had my FIOS installed, they only had FIOS Internet and FIOS Phone Service. No Cable. Last week after 10 months of waiting, Verizon FIOS Cable was finally available so I had it installed. The cutover from Comcast was fairly straight forward. My Series 2 Tivo was replaced with a Motorola QIP6416-2 HD DVR. Although my wife was a bit skeptical and wanted me to go grab a new HD TIVO, after playing with the new Verizon DVR for a week we both agreed it was time to retire the TIVO for good....
