Rescheduling Meetings in Google Calendar If you have a large organization, when it comes to scheduling a meeting, it can be a tedious process, but Google is trying to make things easier with new additions to Calendar. A couple weeks ago the company added Out of Office Mode to Calendar. It helps your coworkers know when you’re not available to respond to requests or accept meetings. And today’s announced new feature will help your organization manage meetings, too....

I think everyone was expecting something like this to happen. As Google clears inventory to make room for the next generation of Nexus devices, it has dropped the price on the Nexus 4 by $100 in one day. Expected to be announced in September, the Nexus 5 is likely to blow its predecessor away in terms of performance and features seeing as its supposedly based on the LG G2, while simultaneously devaluing the 4 as well....

Recently the web giant introduced a few new search options at their Inside Search event. Some new Mobile features were implemented, but the desktop search ones are the grooviest. Nearby location shortcuts First of all, let’s talk about the new mobile search feature. Google is focusing in on local, and they’ve made the Google mobile search page more convenient. You now get shortcuts to Restaurants, Coffee Shops and Bars on the home page, allowing you to search for these locations faster....

Anyway, Google just released a new browser plug-in which will block all tracking about you on sites running their free Google’s Website Analytics. Being that Google Analytics is both free and one of the fastest growing Google Services out there used by webmasters around the globe, this is excellent news and a tremendous step forward for privacy. The Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on is available for all newer versions of browsers including Internet Explorer 7+, Chrome, and Firefox....

The mobile app comes on the heels of Google’s recent expansion of the service to dozens of cities and new partners in the deals industry. What I find most useful about the app is the ability to not only run through the Google Offers service on the go but you can also purchase deals from it as well. Nice. According to the announcement, Google Chrome, Search and Ads have all been updated to either block or warn users before taking them to a site which Google has flagged for either installing software without the users permission or tricking them into installing malware. As in the past, webmasters who are encouraged to register their sites with Google’s Webmaster tools so Google can notify them when their sites have been flagged under this new update....

The new voice of Google is Kiki Baessell, aka the spam fighter extraordinaire who usually handles abuse for Google consumer products. She has no experience in voice acting but she can talk, and her voice is nice so, sold. Launch Word 2013, then click the File Menu. From the Backstage view click the Options button. In Word Options, click the Customize Ribbon button. Then click the Customize button at the bottom adjacent to the “Keyboard shortcuts” label. Select a category, and then browse through the commands. You’ll see that the majority of the commands in Word 2013 don’t have any keyboard shortcuts assigned.
