This works in any app that requires the keyboard. In this example I’m using the word processing app Pages. To move the full keyboard on the screen, press and hold the hide keyboard button until you see the options menu. Then select Undock. Now you can drag the full keyboard anywhere on the screen. In a few minutes, you’ve blocked a large swath of inappropriate content on your kid’s PC, phone or tablet without blocking yourself. For example, the Adult category is fairly broad. How to Customize the Windows 8 Update Schedule From the Windows 8 Start Menu or search (Ctrl + W), type: automatic maintenance and click the link from the Settings results. The Action Center for Automatic Maintenance will open up. In this screen, the update schedule can be set to a different time. There’s also a checkbox you can uncheck, so your system doesn’t power on to update. Once set to the desired time, click OK to save changes and exit....
By default, the Windows 8 Bing app displays your last three recent searches. To delete it, bring up the Charms bar while in the Bing app and select Settings. Then click Search History in the Settings list. Here you can turn keeping search history off if you don’t want it to remember it anymore. Or click Clear all to get rid of your recent list. After deleting it, the next time you search, only Popular Now will display and not your history....
